Where SAP records end, decision control begins.

SAP is the enterprise system of record. It should remain that way. The structural gap appears after the record is created: inventory moves, vendors delay, receivables age, production shifts, margins compress, and teams still convert those signals into decisions manually. Quantos sits above SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business One as a read-only closed-loop intelligence layer — turning SAP records into forecast, risk, action ownership, outcome scoring and learning without replacing SAP.

What changes: SAP remains the ledger. Quantos becomes the decision-control layer above it — reading operational truth, detecting forward exposure, assigning owners, measuring outcomes and carrying learning into the next business cycle.

Where the SAP-led enterprise stack stops

SAP records the business. It does not close the decision loop.

SAP is excellent at transactional integrity, master data, financial posting, procurement, inventory, production and compliance. The failure happens when leadership expects the system of record to also become a system of forward decision control. Quantos respects SAP by not trying to replace it. It closes the loop above it.

MM / Inventory

Stock exists before risk is understood

Materials, batches, goods movements and stock values are recorded. Quantos asks which stock becomes expiry, shortage, dead inventory, working-capital pressure or service failure.

SD / Sales

Orders and billing do not reveal demand quality

Sales documents and invoices show what moved. Quantos compares movement against forecast, channel behaviour, receivables, margin and future exposure.

FI / CO

Finance sees impact after operations create it

Journal entries, cost centres, receivables, payables and profitability analysis are essential. Quantos converts these records into forward cash, margin and risk ownership.

PP / Production

Plans change faster than reviews

Production orders, confirmations and capacity data show what is planned or completed. Quantos detects when the plan is drifting away from demand, stock and financial exposure.

PM / Assets

Maintenance becomes risk before it becomes downtime

Notifications, orders and asset history exist. Quantos connects them to production risk, service loss, cost pressure and owner action before downtime becomes visible.

BI / Reports

Reports explain variance after the window closes

BI shows the variance. Quantos assigns the owner, watches the action, scores the outcome and improves the next cycle.

The missing layer is not another SAP report. It is a closed-loop control layer that turns SAP records into forecast, risk, action, outcome, score and learning — while SAP remains the governed system of record.
How Quantos connects to SAP

Read the records. Build the truth. Close the loop outside SAP.

The integration is designed for CIOs, BASIS teams and functional owners who do not want another invasive ERP programme. Quantos is downstream by default. It reads scoped SAP data from governed interfaces, creates tenant-isolated operational truth and runs the closed loop outside the ERP core.

01 · Connect

Read from governed SAP access

Quantos connects through OData, CDS views, RFC, replicated HANA snapshots, CDC streams or controlled extracts. Production SAP is not burdened with decision-engine workload.

02 · Isolate

Land data into tenant-scoped truth

Records land in a dedicated tenant schema. SAP remains source of record; Quantos creates the operational truth needed for forecast, risk, action and outcome measurement.

03 · Evaluate

Run deterministic closed-loop logic

Every output carries source trace, method, model state and version. Same input and same state produce the same result, making the output auditable.

04 · Act

Assign ownership outside the ledger

Quantos routes action to owners, measures whether action worked and records learning. Write-back to SAP remains optional and explicitly governed.

SAP objects and signals Quantos can consume

Standard SAP objects become forward decision signals.

Quantos does not need to disturb SAP customisation to start. Standard SAP objects, replicated snapshots and mapped custom fields can be converted into decision-control signals across inventory, procurement, sales, finance, production and working capital.

What Quantos solves above SAP

SAP gives the record. Quantos gives the next accountable decision.

Across industries, SAP data already contains the early signal. The missing layer is the closed loop that turns those signals into forward risk, owner action, outcome measurement and learning.

Inventory & Working Capital

Which stock becomes cash pressure before finance sees it?

Quantos reads material movement, batch age, stock valuation, sales movement, receivables and demand signals together. The output is not an inventory report. It is exposure, owner, deadline and action.

Primary exposureInventory → working capital

Procurement & Vendor Risk

Which supplier issue will become operational failure?

Purchase order slippage, vendor concentration, invoice disputes, delayed GRN and ageing advances become one supplier-risk event. Quantos routes action before procurement follow-up becomes business rescue.

Sales, Margin & Receivables

Which sales look healthy but weaken margin and cash?

Billing, credit exposure, discounts, returns, margin and channel performance are connected into a forward quality-of-sales view. Quantos distinguishes growth from risk-bearing revenue.

Production & Planning

Which plan is drifting away from reality?

Production orders, confirmations, material constraints, capacity and demand are evaluated as one loop. Quantos detects where the plan is becoming financially unsafe before the review meeting catches up.

Questions your CIO, CFO and BASIS team will ask

The answers are short, governed and specific.

Does Quantos write into SAP?

Not by default. Zero write access. Quantos is designed as a downstream decision-control layer. Optional write-back is a separately governed connector and only applies where the client explicitly approves it.

Do we need SAP transports or extension objects?

No by default. Quantos can work through governed read access, OData, CDS views, RFC, HANA replica, CDC streams or controlled exports. The default pattern avoids turning implementation into a BASIS-heavy ERP modification project.

Will this load production SAP?

The preferred pattern is no direct production load. Quantos reads from replicated snapshots, warehouse extracts, HANA replicas or controlled data services. Production ERP remains focused on transaction processing.

What about Z-tables and custom fields?

Custom SAP extensions are mapped during onboarding. Quantos does not assume all enterprises look the same. Standard objects create the base contract; client-specific fields are configured into the operational truth layer.

Where does the data live?

Quantos can run in a managed cloud, client VPC, private cloud or controlled on-premise environment. Tenant data is isolated by schema, not just by a tenant-id filter inside a shared business table.

What makes this different from SAP BI or dashboards?

BI reports what happened. Quantos closes the decision loop. It forecasts exposure, assigns one owner, watches action, scores outcome and learns for the next cycle. That is the layer SAP reports do not provide by themselves.

Keep SAP as the record. Add Quantos as the control loop.

Bring one SAP-backed process — inventory, procurement, finance, production, sales or working capital. Quantos will show where the system of record stops and where closed-loop decision control begins.
